Poker players vs regular folks

I have received quite a few emails / txt's etc from people congratulating me on my finish yesterday. It's funny comparing the ones from my poker playing friends to my non-poker playing ones:

Typical message from regular folks: 7th place? Awesome! Congrats! You must be psyched!

Typical message from poker playing folks: sorry bro, but good game. Keep your head up - you'll do better next time.

The mentality really is that there's only one guy per tournament who doesn't "lose".

The plan today is pretty low key - I'm going to head over to the rio after I finish my brunch, probably play the $200, and hang out with some guys there. (Need to give my backers their cut too - they're pretty pleased with the results, obviously).

If I bust early I may play the 2nd chance at the Venetian, or just hang out at the rio and play some SnG's or cash.

Spoke with Allison last night - she was pretty excited to hear my voice... So I suspect the flight / drive to Kirkland Lake is going to be especially long. I didn't plan it really well - I leave late on Wednesday, but the timing is such that I can't really play a tourney. So I'm not sure yet what the plan will be tomorrow.
